COURSE SUMMARY
This course reflects the role of individuals who are independently engaged or employed as trackwork riders to exercise thoroughbred horses and ride in jumpouts on the instruction of a trainer in the racing industry. The Trackwork Riding courses focus on the development of skills and knowledge required for safe trackwork riding and riding in jumpouts, working in the Thoroughbred racehorse industry and enables work through registration as a Trackwork Rider with Racing Victoria. The purpose of this course is to provide the skills and knowledge required for registration as a Trackwork Rider with Racing Victoria to ride racehorses in work and jumpouts for registered Racehorse Trainers.
