Marine Mechanics enjoy a variety of interesting tasks including engine re-building, servicing, installing accessories, upgrading & repairing wiring, completing new boat fit up, pre-delivery tasks & enjoying working with lifestyle products in a great environment. Many Marine skills are transferrable into other automotive trades.
The ideal applicant will fit within the youth award, have successfully completed a minimum of year 11, have a current driver’s licence and own transport and have either completed automotive pre-apprenticeship studies or have demonstrated mechanical exposure. The position requires a commitment to complete a four year apprenticeship to learn and develop specialised skills both at work and at TAFE.
Out host is looking for someone preferably has experience in the marine industry, that is reliable, has a good work ethic with a “can do” attitude. Work hours provide lifestyle advantages and there is scope to increase your earning capacity through overtime.
