Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaking) Apprenticeships

Skillinvest has a number of opportunities for committed and motivated candidates to undertake a full time Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaking) Apprenticeship in Melbourne's South Eastern Suburbs. Our apprentices will receive ongoing mentoring whilst learning on-the-job and undertaking a 'Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade'.


  • Position and hold metal stock or product
  • Perform assembly and dismantling operations
  • Solder or spot-weld components using electrical or welding equipment
  • Safely operate various hand and power tools and machines
  • Cut, roll, shape, bend, mould, spin, heat, or hammer metal products to fabricate
  • Examine and interpret drawings and blueprints
  • Assemble and join parts and structure
  • General upkeep of workshop and equipment


  • Genuine interest in Engineering (Fabrication)
  • Willingness to commit to work and study
  • Pre apprenticeship or relevant industry experience (highly regarded)
  • Current driver's licence and reliable transport (desirable)
  • Willing to obtain a Police Check and/or Medical
