Telecommunications Technician Trainee

Skillinvest has an opportunity for a motivated candidate to undertake a Certificate III in Telecommunications with a well-established business working in Sydney metro and surrounding areas.

You will receive valuable industry experience and a nationally recognized qualification and ongoing support from your dedicated Consultant.

Duties Include:

• Set up new telecommunications services
• Assist in the construction and maintenance of telecommunications networks
• Maintain records and documentation
• Report on equipment performance and condition
• Place or terminate cables, including those made of optical fibre
• Undertake proof tests such as line testing, circuit commissioning and power tests
• Install and maintain telecommunication and other data systems
• Other duties are directed

Requirements:

• A passion for technology
• Technically and mechanically minded
• Driver's License
• White card and First Aid (or must obtain)
• Be able to travel to regional locations and interstate on a regular basis (currently 50% of total work)
• Available for overtime
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Able to commit to the role and seeking a long term opportunity
