Skillinvest Equine Trainer and Assessor Casey Bruce Receives Prestigious Award

Skillinvest Equine Trainer & Assessor Casey Bruce, was honoured with the prestigious “Spirit of Racing’ award at the Victorian Wakeful Club Lady of Racing Awards at the Moonee Valley Night Races on International Women’s Day.

The aim of the Lady of Racing Awards is to recognise the achievements and contributions of women in the thoroughbred racing and breeding industry, as well as to encourage further involvement of women within the industry.

Casey’s passion for horses ignited as a child when her family traded city life and moved to a property in the country. Casey transitioned from a horse lover to a successful jockey at a time when racing was a male dominated industry. She has since immersed herself in almost every facet of the industry.

Today as a trainer and assessor with Skillinvest, Casey’s experience and passion has been invaluable, and she is a great role model to people aspiring to succeed in the racing industry.
