Skillinvest’s Group Training service supports businesses and organisations across an expansive range of industries to provide Australian Apprenticeships and Traineeships through all stages from recruitment through to completion.
Established in 1986, we have decades of experience in the apprenticeship and traineeship sector and understand the unique challenges and opportunities of employers, apprentices and trainees.
Skillinvest provide a simple, cost-effective solution to employing and managing apprentices and trainees. We can help with the recruitment and placement of suitable candidates and provide support to select a suitable RTO to provide Nationally Recognised Training and qualifications.
At Skillinvest we maintain a database of school leavers and adults seeking an apprenticeship or traineeship and match host employer needs with candidate career aspirations. We provide personalised, ongoing support for both the host employer and employee, including regular workplace visits.
We offer flexible employment arrangements under Enterprise or Award conditions and can rotate apprentices/trainees to another host employer if required.
Skillinvest take care of all the administration and legal requirements, allowing the host employer to focus on providing on-the-job training. Our Group Training service complies with Group Training Standards and is a member of the Apprenticeship Employment Network (Victoria).

What is a shared hosting arrangement and how does it work?
Skillinvest offer a unique solution for employers who need to expand their workforce but lack the capacity to employ full-time. Our shared host arrangement allows employers to share an apprentice or trainee with another employer, maximising flexibility and minimising costs.
A shared hosting arrangement enables:
Dual placement One apprentice is hosted by two employers.
Flexible Schedule Shared placement arrangements with each host are negotiated to suit business needs.
Seamless transition Skillinvest manages payroll and administration as well as offering ongoing mentorship and support to the employers and apprentice.
What happens if I can no-longer provide work for my apprentice or trainee?
If you are unable to continue to host an apprentice or trainee, we can re-allocate them to another host employer.
Are there any incentives for host employers?
