RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING/CREDIT TRANSFER
Can I get recognition of prior learning experience?
Credit Transfer (CT)
Skillinvest Ltd recognises all Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other training providers. A student may apply to have a unit of competency recognised if the unit code and title exactly matches the unit of competency for which recognition is being sought; or if the unit of competency held is superseded and equivalent to the current unit of competency.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Skillinvest Ltd recognises that people learn and acquire skills and knowledge in ways other than just formal study or current training. A person may acquire skills relevant to the work situation through non-accredited training courses, workplace training, hobbies, interests and life experience. Sometimes the skills and knowledge acquired in these ways can be applied to the current workplace tasks and roles a person is performing. The RPL process measures these previously acquired skills and knowledge against unit/s of competency.
Skillinvest Ltd verify the evidence provided by prospective students applying for Recognition of Prior Learning.
During the Pre-Training Review and Enrolment Process, Prospective Students are informed of the Credit Transfer and RPL process and any associated fees that may be incurred.
Skillinvest fosters a safe and inclusive learning environment for all cohorts and cultures. Individuals with a disability and First Nations people are encouraged to apply.
