Kickstart your Civil Construction career with Skillinvest. Hosted by Northern Grampians Shire Council in St Arnaud, this apprenticeship provides practical on‑the‑job experience and the opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Civil Construction.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Undertake routine maintenance on Council roads, assets etc.
  • Complete pre-start checks on plant and equipment
  • Operate plant and equipment
  • Maintain daily activity sheets and record defects/faults observed
  • Traffic management duties
  • Install, repair or replace signs

 IS THIS YOU?

  • Construction Induction White Card
  • Reliable and enjoy hands-on physical work
  • Great attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Responsible and have good initiative
  • Willing to work and study to obtain a nationally recognized qualification

To be eligible to receive an Apprenticeship or Traineeship and the government funding, candidates must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia. New Zealand citizens must have resided in Australia for over 6 months to be eligible.
