Road Worker

  • Base $36.00 per hour + overtime available
  • Casual (regular 38 hours/week)
  • PPE supplied & maintained annually

Skillinvest is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Road Worker to join our client’s team in a casual role averaging 38 hours per week. Based at the Lilydale Depot, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of Victoria’s leading providers in road maintenance, construction, and civil works. You’ll be part of a supportive and dynamic crew, working outdoors and operating a range of tools and machinery to help maintain and improve our road networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General labouring and site preparation
  • Compacting, leveling, and spreading materials
  • Routine road maintenance and emergency response
  • Truck driving and obstruction removal
  • Use of power tools and machinery

What You’ll Need:

  • Construction Induction White Card
  • Medium Rigid (MR) Truck Licence
  • Traffic Management Certificates – current TC1 & TMI1 at minimum
  • Demonstrated experience in road or civil works
  • Physically fit and capable of manual labour
  • Availability for after-hours emergency call-outs

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Drug & Alcohol Screening
  • Police Check
  • Driver History Check

Advantageous skills & experience:

  • Plant Operator Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Chainsaw and Polesaw Training
