Skillinvest has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate to undertake a School-Based Traineeship with Dunmunkle Lodge in Minyip. Our apprentice will receive ongoing mentoring and support while gaining hands-on experience to obtain a ‘Certificate II in Horticulture’.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Assist with mowing, edging and general lawn care across school grounds
  • Support planting, mulching, weeding and pruning in garden beds
  • Help keep pathways, outdoor spaces and common areas clean and safe
  • Carry out basic irrigation and watering tasks
  • Assist with general property maintenance, such as cleaning outdoor facilities and minor repairs under supervision

IS THIS YOU?

  • Keen interest in working outdoors
  • Willingness to learn basic groundskeeping and property maintenance skills
  • Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions and work safely
  • Physically capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting, bending and working outdoors in varying weather
  • Ability to follow instructions and assist where needed
  • Willing to obtain a Police Check

To be eligible to receive an Apprenticeship or Traineeship and the government funding, candidates must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia. New Zealand citizens must have resided in Australia for over 6 months to be eligible.
