Kick‑start your career in the automotive industry with a supportive local team. Skillinvest is seeking a motivated individual to join Michael’s Moama. Over this three‑year apprenticeship, you’ll gain hands‑on experience, receive ongoing mentoring, and work toward a nationally recognised Certificate III in Automotive Sales (Parts Interpreter). This is a great opportunity to build real industry skills and start a long‑term career in parts and customer service.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Identify and interpret parts using catalogues and electronic systems
  • Support technicians and customers with accurate parts advice and options
  • Source, price, and supply automotive parts, accessories.
  • Maintain stock levels through ordering, receipting and organised storage
  • Follow all safety, environmental and quality procedures in the parts department

IS THIS YOU?

  • Genuine interest in the automotive industry and how vehicles are put together
  • Good communication skills and confidence dealing with customers and technicians
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn parts catalogues and systems
  • Strong attention to detail when identifying and sourcing the correct parts
  • Reliable, organised and able to follow instructions in a busy workshop environment
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and commitment to completing a Certificate III in Automotive Sales

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION

To be eligible to receive an Apprenticeship or Traineeship and the government funding, candidates must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia. New Zealand citizens must have resided in Australia for over 6 months to be eligible.
