Skillinvest is a not-for-profit Group Training & Registered Training Organisation delivering training in many Industry sectors.

Skillinvests’ Hairdressing department is seeking a Trainer and Assessor to join our team in Geelong, Western Suburbs, Ballarat VIC, to deliver training and assessment to a range of student cohorts. Delivering the Certificate III in Hairdressing SHB30416 in a workplace on-the-job model for 3 days per week.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Deliver high quality training to students
  • Prepare for and deliver training and assessment services in accordance with Skillinvest’s RTO policies and procedures
  • Adjust/develop flexible teaching and learning strategies to assist students with barriers to learning e.g. low literacy levels or disabilities
  • Maintain currency of knowledge in relevant training packages and vocational industry
  • Be able to work and contribute to part of a team and work autonomously as required
  • Develop strong relationships with students, staff, schools and other stakeholders

IS THIS YOU?

  • Hairdressing Trade Qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Hairdressing Industry
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check and Police Check

 You must have a strong customer focus and a willingness to work as part of a growing team, in a fast-paced environment. You should enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with people new to the industry and can create flexible assessment tools according to Workplace conditions and Training Package standards.
