A member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Darren joined Skillinvest in 2005 as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) before moving into the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in 2017.

Darren brings over 10 years of financial management experience in the employment and training industry and over 20 years financial management experience working in the Victorian water industry. He is a current board member of the Apprenticeship Employment Network (AEN), Wimmera Development Association and a past Chairperson of the Horsham Rural City Council Audit Committee. Darren is also a life member of the Horsham Apex Club.

Jason Maybery Chief Financial Officer

Jason joined Skillinvest in March 2009 as the Business Services Manager and moved into the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role in September 2017. He manages the WorkCover portfolio across the organisation and was instrumental in the construction of the new Skillinvest office in Horsham. His particular focus is now on IT development, governance and industry best practice.

Jason worked in various payroll, finance, compliance and human resources roles within the water industry for 13 years, including a period as the Human Resources consultant for GWMWater. He also spent three years as the General Manager of the Horsham Golf Club and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

John graduated from Longerenong College in 1985 and has worked at Longerenong College since 1991 and has been General Manager/Head of Campus since 2009.

It is fair to say John is a little attached to the place. As the College continues to grow and prosper with the welcome of international students and the Longerenong DATA Farm, John never tires from the day to day duties of College life, but welcoming new students is what really drives him and his staff. It is the success of our graduates in industry that keep the passion alive.  Our students hit the ground running in a vast range of exciting and fulfilling agricultural careers.

A qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Dale is also Chair of the South East Local Learning & Employment Network (SELLEN).

Amanda has been managing the metro training department at Skillinvest for the past 5 years. Prior to this Amanda spent several years as a training coordinator and senior educator in the hair and beauty industry. As a trade qualified hairdresser Amanda has extensive experience in all aspects of training and provides valuable support to her team members.

As the RTO manager in Dandenong, Amanda also works across multiple industries, liaising with stakeholders, developing relationships and overseeing the development of programs.

Ian has more than 20 years of experience working in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, including various Education Manager and Trainer & Assessor roles. At Skillinvest, he oversees all of our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) operations across regional Victoria, as well as any training delivered in Tasmania and South Australia.

With a trade background as a chef, Ian has delivered hospitality training to both domestic apprentices and international students. He also holds a Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (Victoria University) and has completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Barry graduated from Longerenong College in 1979 and was employed by the College in 1992. Barry has worked in various lecturing positions before becoming the Training Manager in 2009.

Barry is committed to overseeing the teaching program to get the best outcome for all our students. Barry and staff work endlessly to ensure that Longerenong College students get the best agricultural training and education possible and that they leave the College with a well-rounded qualification ready for the agricultural industry.
