We are proud to partner with Jobs Victoria to deliver the Jobs Victoria Mentor service.

Operating in and supporting the City of Greater Dandenong (located in the Southern Metropolitan region).

Jobs Victoria supports Victorian jobseekers and employers in their local communities through face-to-face, online and phone-based services.

Our Jobs Victoria Mentors at Skillinvest help people to become work-ready, find a job that suits them and support them in their role for the first six months. We help people understand their career options and give them the tools and confidence they need to pursue them.

Who is eligible for Mentor services?

Skillinvest’s Jobs Victoria Mentors provide targeted support to people who face significant challenges finding employment, including:

  • Australian citizens, permanent residents, or temporary residents seeking asylum
  • residents of Victoria who reside in Greater Dandenong (Southern Metropolitan region)
  • people who are long-term unemployed (12 months or more), or
  • people who are at significant risk of long-term unemployment.

A Jobs Victoria Mentor will assess your eligibility for support based on your individual circumstances.

  • low confidence and low self-esteem
  • other barrieres considered on a case-by-case basis by Jobs Victoria.
